Wisconsin Dells with the In Laws

Last weekend Mike and I went on a trip to the Wisconsin Dells with his parents. Mike's mom has been wanting to go there ever since she heard we were moving to cheese-town, and this was her chance. Though only there for a total of 6 hours, not counting the 3 hour round trip, we did alot. The dells are now know as the waterpark capital of the world, but long before that it was just "the Dells". What are Dells you might ask? Let me show you:

Rock formations on the sides of the river

These formation were cut by the river flowing thru over thousands of years.

Mike's parents took us on both the upper and lower Dells boat tours. The upper Dells are larger and you get a chance to get out and walk around, but the lower Dells are much more colorful and you get closer to the formations. Since I am not the most sea faring creature and the lower Dells were calmer and shorter, bet you can guess my favorite!!! Overall it was a great adventure and Mike and I were glad that it will be the last time for house (apartment) guests before the new house is completed. We are very happy to be moving in in the next few weeks. I'll post pictures and updates soon. Let me leave you with the image of the cutest couple on the boat tour. Note to reader: I only look happy since we hadn't set sail yet. TTFN. Kate
